Music for the Soul

When you are facing 30 plus hours on the plane (to and from Uganda), you have to pick your music carefully. So, here's what I'm taking with me (my music all-star lineup) . . .

Ray Charles

The Temptations

U2

Bruce

Chris Rice

Maroon 5

What would you take?

NOTE: Wade Hodges . . . I already know you'd take Hall and Oates or however you spell their name . . .

Jimmy Buffett, Van Halen, Tangerine Dream, Bela Fleck, anything found on mid-80's college radio stations, and unlistened to episodes of Car Talk.

Have a great trip!!!!!!!!! Hopefully you'll be able to post updates while you're on the road.

A trip to a place that reveals another side of creation’s groaning…How could you not take U2?

I thought you said that you picked your music carefully. Could have fooled me. :)

Only 5!!?! We really need to get you a bigger Ipod so you can take more music! Still, my list would include:
U2, Hillsong, Derek Webb, Coldplay, Nickel Creek, Imogen Heap, Caedmon's Call, and David Crowder Band.

Hmm..I know I'd probably go through 10 different bands because of how ADD I've been about my music lately. Let's see: U2, Coldplay, P.O.D., Incubus, Creed, Collective Soul, Walflowers, Barenaked Ladies, Skillet, and Toby Mac. A nice mixture of everything..

I'd have to take Doc Watson, Charlie Patton, Lightning Hopkins, Skip James. Oh, and I agree with the comment on Clapton's book...amazing.

Phil,

I've got U2 down. Ha.

Chris,

Only five because I also have five books to read too!

I can credit my love for U2 totally to Dr. Stevenson. He played "Until the End of the World" in NT, and I've been hooked ever since. I have every album(including the 80's+90's best of with b-sides) except for October and Boy.
