Michael Scott and George W. Bush

Wise words of wisdom from two of the more entertaining people in American culture: Michael Scott (The Office) and George W. Bush (President of the United States). Of course, one of these men is "made-up" . . . one of these men is real.

You decide.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."--George W. Bush in Washington D.C.; August 5, 2004

"Am I gonna tell them? No, I'm not going to tell them. I don't see the point of that. As a doctor, you would not tell a patient if they had cancer."--Michael Scott, on downsizing

Josh I TOTALLY Think you are on to something here.

Michael Scott: No, no Pam. Let 'em ring. Let the bells of Dunder Mifflin chime out your love. Because this is really good. This is really good. My heart soars, with the eagle's nest.

"I can press when there needs to be pressed; I can hold hands when there needs to be -- hold hands." --George W. Bush, on how he can contribute to the Middle East peace process, Washington, D.C., Jan. 4, 2008

Michael Scott: Hey, Schneider, real quick. What do you call a buttload of lawyers driving off a cliff.

Jan's lawyer: A good start. And I think it's busload.

Michael Scott: Yeah. A bunch of rich lawyers took the bus. [to Jan] Where'd you find this guy?

"In terms of timetables, as quickly as possible -- whatever that means." --George W. Bush, on his time frame for shoring up Social Security, Washington D.C., March 16, 2005

David: Bush has repeatedly uttered off-the-wall/inaccurate/silly/awkward statements. My intent is not to be disrespectful . . . but one has to admit . . . some of his bloopers are hilarious.

Kyle: I've got some Scott/Bush research to do. I'm sure there's a speech/comm PhD student somewhere doing a dissertation on this topic. For now, we'll have to do.

I'm already thinking of one for tomorrow . . . but my sources are at the office (of course).

Preacherman: Thanks!

Normally, I'm against "anonymous" comments...but that's a completely acceptable comment.

Michael Scott: Today is Spring cleaning day here at Dundler Mifflin, and yes I know it's January, I'm not an idiot, but if you do your Spring cleaning in January guess what you don't have to do in the Spring... anything. They say a cluttered desk means a cluttered mind, well I say an empty desk means an...
Dwight Schrute: Empty mind.
